Discussions (comments) are coming to turenchi
Those of you who visited turenchi.com in January/February may remember that you used to be able to leave comments on any of the news stories on the website, and that we disabled the feature after a while.
The problem we had with the comments was that there were sometimes 4 or 5 news stories on the front page all essentially talking about the same thing. People would leave comments under each of the different headlines, and we were never able to keep the conversation in one place. The second part of the problem was that the website was updated with new items so quickly that an item you made a comment on could disappear from the front page in just a few hours, making it difficult for other people to continue the conversation.
We think we found a fix , we’ll be re-enabling comments on news stories, but this time all discussions can be found on a separate section of turenchi (www.turenchi.com/discussions) , and we added a feature so you can view all discussions related to the newsitem you are reading , so you can choose the appropriate discussion topic to leave your comments under.
Leaving a comment will require registration (which takes less than a minute), and we’ll be re-enabling the feature on June 1st
